Manual on effective debt management

Abstract

The Manual on Effective Debt Management is an important output of the project 'Capacity Building for External Debt Management in the Era of Rapid Globalization' a regional response to the call by the Monterrey Consensus to address debt problems in developing countries. It is with great appreciation that we acknowledge the generous financial support for the project by the Republic of Korea. This manual gives an in-depth overview and analysis of key areas of debt management including risk management debt sustainability analysis and debt restructuring. It also highlights some best practices for debt managers.
