The ESCAP secretariat organized a regional seminar to provide a forum for exchange of experiences among these countries. The present volume consists of selected papers presented at the seminar. The papers analyse the experiences of countries of Indo-China and the Central Asian republics, focusing on the nature of reform measures adopted, the impact of reforms and priorities for future action.
