dc.description.abstract | This publication comprises volume 3 of Technology Transfer and Technological Capability-building in Asia and the Pacific. It covers the least developed and Pacific island countries and the economics in transition and contains the following three studies: (a) Matching investment opportunities and relocation of industries: the economic integration of the Pacific island countries with Asia (b) Promotion of technology flows from advanced developing countries to less developed countries (c) Promotion of technology flows of the Central Asian republics to and from other countries of Asia and the Pacific. These studies have been undertaken in preparation for the two main regional studies envisaged in the Action Programme for Regional Economic Cooperation in Investment-related Technology Transfer, which was endorsed by the Commission in its resolution 50/9 of 13 April 1994. |
